In 1953 Philip Springer was asked to help Joan Javitts in writing a song titled “Santa Baby” which was being written for Eartha Kitt. The song became a big hit in 1953 and then was not really popular after that because many versions were recorded.  Philip bought the copyrights from Joan and tried to make the song a hit again. Finally in 1988, Madonna picked up the song and it became very popular again. “Santa Baby” was featured in the movie “Driving Miss Daisy” and numerous Christmas specials every year.
