In the late 1950s the then 13 years old, country pop singer Brenda Lee recorded the Christmas song, Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree. The song was written and composed by Johnny Marks. The song has a bit of country mood, and its’ up-beat sound makes people excited upon hearing it before Christmas. It has also been a part of the Billboard Pop Chart in 1958 and has been a favorite Christmas song since then.

Other than that, since its release in the late 1950s this song has been performed by various artists like LeAnn Rimes (2004), Chicago (2011) and even Miley Cyrus in 2007. Despite the numerous artists who have sang this song, its’ exciting melody has never been altered.  And although this song has been released and out for more than 40 years now, many people still loves this song. It always reminds people the joy and excitement the season brings.
